The aims and scope of the journal

"Aspects of Historical Musicology" is a periodical scientific publication, which is a peer-reviewed journal in the field of musical historiography. Its themes focus on a wide range of studies of musical culture in its genesis, development and modern state. Priority is given to materials that offer new approaches to consideration of well-known phenomena of musical art, explore new sources or reveal new issues.

The founder of the publication is Kharkiv I.P. Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts.

According to the decision of the Academic Council of the University, the Journal is published twice a year.

The journal aims to publish research findings, including dissertation results in the field of "Music Art" (17.00.03); to promote the development of science and education, implementation of scientific and educational programs; to disseminate scientific knowledge about music art.
